“Dear JESUS, I have a problem...It’s me” “Dear child, I have the answer.....It’s ME”

SALVATION, AN EXPLANATION

Fact, you are alive because you are reading this article. Should we die before Jesus returns as indicated in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, we should consider what may happen to us. After this physical life we all will die, that’s a 100% fact. After death there are only two possibilities; 1. You will go into oblivion as if you never existed or; 2. Your spirit will live for eternity. Just what is “Eternal Life”? By Christian standards it simply means that we will live somewhere for all eternity. That somewhere has two possibilities also: 1. Live with Jesus, God the Son, forever or; 2. Live in the darkness of hell without the fellowship of Jesus or any other living person or animal. So, you see why salvation is the most important thing in yours and my life.

Salvation defined: Salvation is God the Father’s deliverance of man from the power and consequences of sin through the work of Christ, God the Son, on the cross.

Before you were saved, your sin separated you from God. You were alienated from Him ... spiritually dead in your sins ... and headed for an eternity without God. However, He has provided a solution to this problem. He offers that solution to you as a free gift. That gift, offered in love, is eternal life.

This gift is free to you... but it was not free for Jesus. He had to pay for your sins by His death on the cross. No gift has ever been more costly. He took your sins onto Himself; He took your place. He did that so you might die to sin (stop living for sin) and live for righteousness. Because of His love, God sent Jesus to die on the cross.

There is nothing you can do to pay for your own salvation ... the cost is too high. The only solution is to accept God's free gift. The Bible states that the way to accept that gift is by believing in Jesus. By believing in Jesus you are saved ... you will never perish ... you have eternal life, simply repent of your sins and follow His commands.

SALVATION

Many folks have stated their concerns about Salvation; we all should be very concerned! I learned many years ago that the single most important detail in our lives is to guarantee our Salvation. Note: I didn’t say work for our salvation, that is just not correct. See what Paul had to say in Eph 2:7‑10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”. Please take a moment to re-read this verse. Take notice of the last sentence.
