Purpose of this letter: This letter is a new endeavor by ProJesus.com to supply you with critical truths for today’s world. In the world today, there is so much pluralism in religions and so much tolerance in general that it’s sometimes really hard to know truth from fiction. We pray that this letter will aide you and your friends in your search for truth. As Jesus stated in John 8:32, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

CREATION/EVOLUTION

If the Big Bang is true there was a really big explosion some time in the past. In all explosions everything goes out from the center of the explosion in a radial, straight line. How then can we explain, “Scientifically”, why there are so many “Spiral Galaxies” in the universe? (A spiral galaxy is a group of millions of stars that swirl in a spiral shape, like our Milky Way galaxy). This goes against the laws of Science. It seems that there must have been some exterior force. Where did it come from? Also, where did the matter come from that exploded? Where did the energy come from to cause the explosion? (More on Creation/Evolution in the next “Information Letter”)

IS THE BIBLE RELIABLE?

There are many “Benchmarks” used when discussing the reliability of the Holy Scriptures. For example: What does Archeology tell us? What do the historians say? Were there any eye witnesses? How was Scripture copied and or translated? What are the Bibliographical tests? Is there any internal and or external evidence? We will state some evidence in the next letter. To start with, let’s see how the Benchmark of personal testimony and changed lives affected two very prominent men held in high honor and respect in American History. President John Quincy Adams said, “I speak as a man of the world to men of the world; and I say to you: Search the Scriptures. The Bible is the book above all others to be read at all ages and in all conditions of human life; not to be read once or twice through then laid aside, but to be read in small portions every day.” Daniel Webster made this statement: “If there be anything in my style or thoughts to be commended, the credit is due to my kind parents for instilling into my mind an early love of the Scriptures.” (Additional material on the Bible in the next “Information Letter”)

THE LIFE OF CHRIST This is a regular class on the web site under Bible Institute Studies. A certificate is issued upon completion .

What is the Gospel? As defined, the Gospel is the teachings of Jesus Christ and the story of his life taken from any of one or all of the biblical books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. Starting at the beginning, when Jesus was born, who would have known who He was? To name a few: Mary (Jesus’ mother), Mary’s mother and father, Joseph (Jesus’ stepfather), Simeon and Anna at the temple dedication. All of Israel knew that the Messiah was to come soon. The Old Testament is full of prophecies concerning the soon to come King-of-Kings. Here are a few Old Testament verses that prophesied that a Savior would come. 1. Isaiah 7:14—“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (God with us).” 2. Micah 5:2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah…….out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." 3. Isaiah 9:6-7 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” 4.
